Following the success of the ‘Policy Dialogue on Aligning Priorities in the Western Balkans – Vision 2030 – Digital/Green/Health Pathways’ Conference in Sarajevo, a series of monthly POLICY ANSWERS Webinars start in February 2024.
These events aim to stimulate strategic conversations on Aligning WB priorities with those of the EU across three thematic areas: Digital Transformation, Green Deal and Health Policy. They will delve into the significant insights and recommendations derived from the Conference, playing a pivotal role in shaping the strategy of the Regional Platform.
The speaker of the 2nd Webinar is Professor Marija Jevtic, a Full Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University Novi Sad, Serbia, and a specialist for Hygiene and Medical Ecology at the Institute of Public Health of Vojvodina.

Professor Jevtic also serves as a research collaborator at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and holds associate membership in the Academy of Medical Sciences Serbian Medical Society. She is President of the Environment and Health Section of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA), and member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the European Health Management Association (EHMA). Currently, Professor Jevtic acts as the EU Climate Pact Ambassador.
With extensive involvement in numerous national and international research projects, Professor Jevtic’s expertise encompasses public health, environment and health, air pollution, sustainable development, nutrition, food safety, mental health.
Professor Marija Jevtic will deliver a presentation titled “Overview of the Western Balkans Region on its Pathway towards Modern Health Policy – Challenges, Best Practices and Recommendations”.
