European Year of Skills – What Comes Next?

The closing event of the European Year of Skills takes place on 30 April 2024 in Brussels (EGG Brussels, Rue Bara 175, 1070 Brussels, Belgium) and online. 

Online participation is open to all! Online participation will be available from 9h30 to 12h30 and 16h to 17h30. 

The event will be opened by Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President, for Promoting our European Way of Life of the European Commission (TBC), discuss Europe’s skills revolution with key stakeholders, but the ‘Pact for Skills’ in focus, introduce the EU Agencies driving progress and impact such as the European Training Foundation (ETF) and Cedefop, etc. In the afternoon, parallel discussion groups are organised and back to plenary, Members of the European Parliament, national governments, representatives of trade unions and businesses will discuss before Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice President for A Europe Fit for the Digital Age of the European Commission provides closing remarks and participants on site are invited to networking with a cocktail.
