Youth policy of the Republic of Srpska from 2023 to 2027

Description of the programme/policy

The youth policy of the Republic of Srpska contains a number of initiatives and measures defined in the relevant sectoral strategies of the Republic of Srpska, as well as documents relevant to the process of European integration and other international commitments of the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the European Union Youth Strategy for the period 2019-2027, the Strategy of the youth sector of the Council of Europe until 2030, the United Nations Youth Strategy 2018-2030 and the United Nations Agenda for Sustainable Development 2015-2030, i.e. the Framework for the realization of sustainable development goals in BiH.

Main objective of the programme/policy

The first strategic goal concerns the improvement of youth employment. Issues of employment, unemployment and economic (in)activity of young people, which are directly related to the level of their employment, are key strategic issues of
vital interest of every contemporary social community.

Specific objective of the programme/policy

Other strategic goals are: Improving opportunities for active participation of young people, developing healthy lifestyles among young people, ensuring support for the development of excellence in young people and improving opportunities for quality spending of free time by young people.
