Description of the programme/policy
The adoption of the Policy on improving the health of the population of the Republic of Srpska until 2020 enables the design and implementation of activities necessary to improve the health of the population of the Republic of Srpska in the following period, with the coordination, cooperation and partnership of competent institutions, governmental, non-governmental and philanthropic organisations, private foundations and the community.
Main objective of the programme/policy
The main goal of the Policy is to improve the health of the population of Republika Srpska: by reducing differences in the health of the population, investing in health, involving citizens in making decisions about health and creating healthy local communities.
Specific objective of the programme/policy
The specific goals of the policy are aimed at improving the health status of the population: by controlling non-communicable and infectious diseases and improving health security, creating a healthy and stimulating environment for health and well-being, strengthening the health system oriented to the needs of users, strengthening public health capacities and preparedness for emergency situations and promoting and by adopting the “health in all policies” approach.
