Description of the initiative / best practice
The Congress was organized by the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce, and the Arta Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with Ioannina University (Uniadrion member) and Split Chamber of the Economy (Forum AIC member). It aimed on providing a cross-regional perspective on the best practices and challenges in scaling up women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurial activities, in the field of alternative tourism in the Adriatic and Ionian Macroregion. The Congress brought together different relevant actors such as experts, institutional representatives, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders, which were focused on the development of women’s entrepreneurship. The event took place from 18th to 19th October 2019.
