National for Gender Equality aims to promote gender equality in Serbia by supporting initiatives that combat gender-based discrimination and violence, promote women’s participation in decision-making, and increase public awareness of gender issues.

Its main objective of strategy is to reduce gender-based discrimination and violence, and to promote equal participation of women and men in all aspects of society, including decision-making processes.
Specific objective of the programme/policy
Specific goals of the programme include: Improving women’s access to education, employment, and leadership positions
Increasing public awareness of gender issues and promoting gender equality as a social norm
Supporting gender-responsive budgeting and policy-making at all levels of government
Combating gender-based violence and ensuring access to services for survivors
Promoting men’s engagement in promoting gender equality and addressing harmful stereotypes and practices.
