Description of the programme / policy
Advanced foreign students and doctoral (from the countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the South Caucasus and the Western Balkans) candidates receive a scholarship for their research locally (Sur-Place scholarship) as well as for a short study visit at the German partner university. The programme intensifies the contacts between young foreign researchers and German universities while supporting the students at their respective institutions in their home countries.
