Green Business Development Program

Description of the programme/policy

The Green Business Development Programme is a joint initiative of the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro and the Government of Montenegro aimed at promoting sustainable and green business practises in Montenegro. The programme provides support to companies interested in adopting environmentally-friendly practises and technologies by offering expert advice, training, and financial incentives. It also aims to create a platform for cooperation between the private and public sectors and civil society organisations to promote sustainable development in Montenegro.

Main objective of the programme/policy

The main objective of the Green Business Development Programme is to promote sustainable development and green economy in Montenegro by supporting the adoption of environmentally-friendly practises and technologies by the private sector.

Specific objective of the programme/policy

o increase awareness among companies of the benefits of adopting environmentally-friendly practises and technologies
To provide expert advice and training to companies interested in adopting sustainable practises
To offer financial incentives to companies that adopt sustainable practises and technologies
To create a platform for cooperation between the private and public sectors and civil society organisations to promote sustainable development in Montenegro
To contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and environmental pollution in Montenegro.
