Description of the programme/policy
Dual education in the Republic of Serbia is a vocational education and training system that combines theoretical and practical learning in companies and schools. The programme is designed to provide students with practical skills and work experience, as well as to meet the needs of the labour market. Dual education in Serbia is aimed at creating dual educational profiles in secondary vocational schools. Dual education thus represents only one way of realizing secondary education professional education and represents its integral part, and not a separate and separate system.
Main objective of the programme/policy
The main objective of the dual education programme is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the labour market, and to meet the needs of businesses in various sectors. The programme is implemented through partnerships between schools and companies, and it includes both classroom-based learning and on-the-job training.
Specific objective of the programme/policy
Improving vocational education and training (VET) in Serbia by enhancing partnerships between schools and employers to facilitate dual education. This will provide young people with practical training and increase employer participation in designing and delivering training programmes that align with the labour market and economy. Effective governance, financing, and quality assurance will ensure the sustainability of the dual education system in Serbia.
