Training on “Organising and Managing Research Support Services” at University of Banja Luka organised mid May 2024

The University of Banja Luka, through its Centre for Development and Research Support, organised a two-day training titled “Organising and managing research support services” on 15 and 16 May 2024 as a part of the project V4+WB Network of Research Managers and Administrators (RMAs) PLUS with additional support of the project POLICY ANSWERS.

The event was held in a Reading room at the Faculty of Philosophy and gathered 13 participants from University of Banja Luka, as well as universities, research institutions and NGOs from Albania, Czech Republic, Hungary and Serbia. During the training, Natasa Jakominic Marot – Head of Centre for research and innovations at the University of Rijeka, with assistance of Andjela Pepic – Head of Centre for Development and Research Support at the University of Banja Luka, presented necessary skills and knowledge to managers and administrators of research, in order for them to efficiently coordinate research support services.

The following themes were covered: strategic planning, conflict resolution, improvement of work conditions and improving the visibility of research manager and research administrator profession, all in the aim of long-term support of development of research institutions.

After the training, the participants had a guided tour of the botanical garden in the Campus of the University of Banja Luka, organised by the UNIBL Institute of Genetic Resources.
