Programme Managers / Programme Owners

Last update:

“Programme managers” are for example in the context of R&I programmes, the national or regional research councils and funding agencies managing research programmes. “Programme owners” are national ministries and regional authorities defining the research programmes. They are a critical stakeholder in the European Research Area (ERA) not only in their capacity of research managers and policy makers,  but  also  for  strategic  reasons. Programme managers and owners might play for example a crucial role in the definition of Work Programmes of Horizon Europe, the development and implementation of EU Missions and Partnerships. Furthermore they can also be beneficiaries of the calls for proposals.
