The LIFE Programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action. Proposals can be submitted by public or private organisations legally registered in the European Union (including overseas countries and territories (OCTs)) or countries associated to the LIFE Programme. The list of participating countries is evolving as negotiations to associated are going on, so please always check its most updated version (see https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/docs/2021-2027/life/guidance/list-3rd-country-participation_life_en.pdf).
As of 2023, from the Western Balkans only North Macedonia was associated in the LIFE Programme.
