The Creative Europe programme invests in actions that reinforce cultural diversity and respond to the needs and challenges of the cultural and creative sectors. The main objectives of the programme are to safeguard, develop and promote European cultural and linguistic diversity and heritage and to increase the competitiveness and economic potential of the cultural and creative sectors, in particular, the audiovisual sector.
The Creative Europe Programme is implemented in three strands:
The Western Balkans are all associated to the programme, although please always consult the most updated list: https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/docs/2021-2027/crea/guidance/list-3rd-country-participation_crea_en.pdf as they might not be associated to all strands.
For more information, national contact points are established – also in the Western Balkans, the so-called “Creative Europe Desks” – https://culture.ec.europa.eu/resources/creative-europe-desks.
