Call for Members of the Evaluation Committee for the Western Balkans Innovation Voucher Pilot Programme

The Call for evaluators within the Western Balkans Innovation Voucher pilot programme for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) is out!

The Fund for Innovation and Technology Development in North Macedonia invites experts to support evaluation process in a pilot call (financial support to third parties) launched in the frame of the Horizon Europe project POLICY ANSWERS.

On 12 April 2024 the Horizon Europe project POLICY ANSWERS (R&I POLICY making, implementation ANd Support in the WEsteRn BalkanS) published the Western Balkans Innovation Voucher (WBIV) pilot programme. The call for applications is open to SMEs operating in the WB region, while public research institutions will be service providers. The beneficiary and service provider must be from different Western Balkans economies for each application. More information on this scheme is provided here.

Reviewers must have:

  • Appropriate English language skills;
  • Proven experience as reviewers (assessor) in different EU programmes, previous experience in assessment of Innovation vouchers programs will be considered and advantage;
  • At least 5, preferably 10 years of relevant working experience in one or more fields related to the thematic priorities of the call (digital and green transition).

A one-stage process for the pilot programme will be deployed, and proposals will have a project description. All received applications will pass an administrative check and will then be evaluated by an Evaluation Committee consisting of three members. Evaluations are designed not to be time-consuming and will be based according to four evaluation criteria (relevance of the service to the objectives of the call, level of innovation, quality of the proposal, impact on green and/or digital transition). The evaluations are expected to be conducted from 21 Nov 2024 to 28 Feb 2025.

Members of the Evaluation Committee are expected to participate in a briefing meeting, be free of conflict of interest. They will receive a symbolic remuneration calculated based on 30 euro per application. In case of any questions please contact: innovationvouchers@fitr.mk
